This year’s Tarbut Festival is a beautiful kaleidoscope of Jewish culture. It is a vibrant mixture of all colours, thoughts, and ideas. Our lineup shines brightly and will catch your eye drawing you in night after night.

Is music your thing? Be sure to check out the opening concert featuring Ethiopian Israeli singing sensation Gili Yalo. This concert, in conjunction with the West End Cultural Centre, opens the festival on October 21 at 8:00 p.m. Yalo is one of the most intriguing and entertaining musicians on the Israeli music scene.

Another not-to-be-missed concert is The World of Bob Wiseman, happening October 23. Wiseman is a founding member of the iconic Canadian rock band Blue Rodeo.

Songs from the Brill Building: The Jewish Connection, premiering October 28, will highlight the role that Jews played in creating the Brill Building sound. You will hear hits from Neil Sadaka, Carole King, Billy Joel, and Paul Simon.

Looking for great Israeli cinema? We have two films for you to enjoy. Farewell Mr. Haffmann, showing October 24, and Hallelujah: Leonard Cohen, A Journey, A Song showing October 26, need to be on your list of must-see films.

Want to laugh till you cry? Stand-up comedian Joel Chasnoff will perform live for you on Sunday, October 22. Joel has performed at more than 1,500 Jewish events around the world.
