Membership Manager

The Rady Jewish Community Centre (RJCC) is currently seeking a dynamic individual to join its senior management team as a full-time Membership Manager.

The Membership Manager acts as the public face of the Rady JCC. He/she is the first person seen by Rady members entering the facility and the last person seen when members leave. This person sets the fun, positive, and hard-working tone for the entire Rady customer service team to follow.

The Membership Manager serves Rady members, guests, and program participants ensuring exceptional customer service in a welcoming, friendly, and efficient manner. This person also builds out schedules for the entire front line and plays an active role in the hiring process of frontline staff.

This individual will also ensure that all work completed by the customer service team is done properly without error or inconsistency on a regular basis. The Membership Manager will also deliver exceptional internal customer service to Rady JCC staff in other departments.

While this is a Monday to Friday full-time position, please note that from time to time, this person will be required to work during Rady operational evening hours and weekends.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that promotes cooperation with members, vendors, staff, and management
  • Build out and maintain all staffing schedules for the frontline Membership Desk and Sports Desk
  • Oversee all hirings of frontline staff
  • Learn and follow all established protocols, database procedures, and internal processes
  • Audit and ensure that all work produced by the Rady customer service team meets expectations and the standard of excellence of the Rady JCC
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and serving members, guests, and program participants in a welcoming, friendly, and efficient manner
  • Ability to speak clearly and exercise good judgement
  • Listen to the customers’ needs to better understand their requests
  • Provide internal support to Rady staff in a polite, friendly, and positive manner
  • Stay informed and up to date on all amenities, promotions, and changes at Rady by reading internal communications on a regular basis
