Barracuda Swim Club

 

Did you know that the Rady is now the home of the Barracudas Swim Club, the first-ever club of it’s kind here at our facility.

Barracudas Swim Club is focused on delivering quality swimming instruction to ALL participants ranging in age from 10-99. The club will be working towards building a competitive team while fostering a love of sport as well as helping participants master their physique and technique in the pool.

The club will be run by certified trainer Elizabeth Gendron. Elizabeth holds certifications in aquatic training with over 10 years experience coaching, first aid and CPR. She is also a former national competitive swimming athlete.

Program Highlights:

  1. Comprehensive Curriculum: The program covers a wide range of swimming skills, from basic stroke technique fundamentals to advanced techniques such as butterfly, freestyle, breaststroke, and backstroke.
  2. Customized Instruction: Participants will receive personalized attention based on their skill levels and goals, ensuring an effective learning experience.
  3. Progress Tracking: regular progress reports to both participants and parents/guardians, allowing them to monitor skill development and set achievable goals.

Session Dates and Times:

April 2 – June 18

  • Tuesdays | 6:15 a.m. – 7:15 a.m.
  • Wednesdays | 8:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
  • Thursdays | 6:15 a.m. – 7:15 a.m.

Program Fees:

  • 1x Week Pack (10 classes) | $255 Member | $340 Non-Member
  • 2x Week Pack (20 classes) | $450 Member | $600 Non-Member
  • 3x Week Pack (30 classes) | $675 Member | $900 Non-Member
  • Single Class Pass | $30 Member | $40 Non-Member

Coach Elizabeth Gendron – Bio

As a dedicated swimmer and experienced coach with a passion for swimming, I am thrilled to bring my ten plus years of competitive swimming experience and coaching expertise to the team.  I swam for the Nepean Kanata Barracudas in eastern Ontario and coached for them as well. My journey through the world of swimming has equipped me with the knowledge, skillset, and enthusiasm to inspire swimmers of all levels to reach their fullest potential.

I have been privileged to lead and mentor swimmers of all ages and skill levels in. My coaching philosophy is rooted in fostering a holistic approach that encompasses technique refinement, mental strength development, and a supportive team environment. Through my guidance, I have witnessed swimmers achieve personal bests, overcome challenges, and cultivate a lifelong love for the sport.

I am excited about the opportunity to bring my wealth of experience, coaching techniques, and dedication to the team.
