Learn to Play Mahjong This Fall at the Rady
Are you looking for a new and innovative way to disconnect from a device-orientated world? We’ve got you covered!
Sign up today and discover how to play Mahjong. We guarantee you will love it.
Originating in China in the 19th century, this classic tile-based game is now a popular fixture here at the Rady JCC.
Besides a fun challenge, Mahjong improves a player’s focus and creativity while stimulating one’s memory.
Join Harriet Einarson and Joyce Billinkoff as they instruct two sessions for beginners every Thursday from September 28 to November 2.
‘Mahjong for All’ Beginner 1: 1:15 – 4:15 p.m.
This introductory session is designed for people who are new to the game or have very limited experience.
‘Mahjong for All’ Beginner 2: 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
This session will provide more supervised play and instruction for those who are more confident with game play. It can also act as a refresher for those who used to play but feel the need for some brushing up.
Register for either session today before they fill up by clicking here.
One more thing >>>>>> You do not need to be a Rady member to take part! Invite your friends to join you and make this game a part of your weekly social activity.
