Autumn is Proof that Change is Beautiful

September 28, 2021

Good morning Rady Friends,

Sweater weather. Crunchy leaves. Pumpkin spice. And just like that, autumn has arrived.

Fall is the time when so many of us like to hit the reset button and settle into our daily routines once again. We can take stock of what we’ve accomplished over the summer while starting to plan for what’s in store next.

As we have said from the onset of this pandemic, every decision we make is done with the health, safety, and well-being of our members and staff top-of-mind.

And with every adjustment we make, we see more people returning.

Earlier this month, we implemented a proof of full vaccination rule to enter the Rady. This was in accordance with the provincial government mandate for all fitness centres. Thank you to everyone who took a couple extra minutes to be officially checked. Your patience was incredibly appreciated by our hardworking staff.

Beginning October 1, masks will become optional while engaging in strenuous exercise. This is in line with current provincially mandated government rules. Please note that masks must continue be worn at all other times everywhere else, including the fitness floor, in locker rooms, and on the pool deck. Masks must be worn properly.

We continue to add more group fitness classes throughout the week, giving members more flexibility and choice. Our specialized personal trainers are incredibly dedicated to their work and their clients. We recently launched a new online publication, The Rady Bench Press, showcasing all the exciting things happening in our first-class facility. Read it here.

Arts and cultural programming is back at the Rady. As we are able to gather safely in limited numbers, we are building a fabulous programming lineup for people young and old. Our bi-weekly digital program e-Guide breaks everything down.

So yes, while the days get shorter, the air gets crisper, and you step into your routine again, know that we are here, stepping into ours. We are adding more options, additional amenities, and diverse community and arts programming.

And all the while we are being safe, optimistic, and hopeful.

Enjoy your latte.
