If We Fail to Adapt, We Fail to Move Forward

May 11, 2021

Good morning Rady Friends,

Here at Rady, we haven’t come this far only to come this far.

As you are aware, this past weekend, the provincial government updated its restrictions as it pertains to gyms and fitness facilities in the Winnipeg health region. As a result, for the third time, the Rady JCC was mandated to close its doors and temporarily shut down to the public.

This is just one more speed bump to drive over as we continue to push down our pedal, heading toward brighter days.

While our physical doors our closed, we have plenty of virtual options available right now to keep your mental and physical health in check. We continue to add new workouts to our Rady@Home virtual platform every week. Rady trainers and instructors lead a variety of classes for you to take part in on your own schedule while safe at home. Learn more about Rady@Home by clicking here.

If you are wanting to enjoy some phenomenal jazz music, our final concert as part of the 2021 Izzy Asper Jazz Performances premieres online this Saturday at 8:00 p.m. and features jazz pianist Bruce Barth. Bruce has played with a veritable who’s-who of jazz icons and has appeared on over 125 recordings and movie soundtracks. His taste, technique, and musicality will be on full display in a mix of standards and originals in this intimate solo piano set from his New York apartment. Register for this free concert by clicking here.

As a reminder, our physical closure is in place right now for three weeks. If it becomes prolonged, we will contact our members to discuss their options regarding their memberships moving forward. For now, please know that while we cannot physically be together presently, it does not mean we are at the end of our road.

Our journey is far from over.

And let me tell you, there’s still plenty of gas left in our tank.

Warm regards,

Rob Berkowits
Executive Director
