Asper Jewish Community Campus Staff Member: Confirmed Case of COVID-19

April 27, 2021

Good afternoon Rady JCC Friends,

Earlier today, the Rady JCC was informed that an Asper Jewish Community Campus (AJCC) evening/weekend employee has tested positive for COVID-19.

As a tenant of the Asper Campus and with permission from the AJCC, we are sharing information with our Rady community to assure everyone that our entire Rady facility, including our fitness and aquatic centres as well as our daycare, have not been directly impacted at all.

The Asper Campus has confirmed that this individual, as per protocol, had been self-isolating for nine days before receiving the positive test result. Their last day in the Campus building was April 14. This individual will not return to work at the Asper Campus until their isolation is complete and they receive a negative test result.

Furthermore, the Province of Manitoba has confirmed directly:

  • the individual was not working during the period of communicability;
  • no public health investigation is required;
  • no action is required by the Rady JCC.

Here at Rady, we continue to have heightened cleaning and personal sanitization procedures in place including regularly cleaning all areas of the fitness facility, aquatic facility, and daycare on set schedules throughout the day. We also perform nightly deep cleans and sanitizations throughout our entire centre.

We will continue to update you with any additional information we may receive.

Warm regards,

Rob Berkowits
Executive Director
Rady JCC
