Dear Rady JCC Friends,
Ever since we announced last week that we are reopening on Monday, June 15, we have received a flood of questions from members. Many of these questions centre on our various fitness classes. In today’s communication, we will shine a light on our fitness class options and safety measures temporarily in place now due to physical distancing requirements.
Beginning in two Mondays, we will be offering a reduced group fitness schedule with a total of 25 weekly cycle and group fitness class options. Members must sign up for any group classes in advance using our online pre-booking system – we will absolutely not be allowing group class drop-ins when we reopen. Online registration will open 72 hours (3 days) before the start of the specific group class.
In order to maintain proper physical distancing, our maximum cycle studio capacity is 10 members while our upstairs group class studio maximum capacity is 12 members. Once a specific class reaches capacity, online registration for that specific class will no longer be available.
Please arrive approximately five minutes before class and no earlier. This will help avoid crowding outside the studios. Rady staff will sanitize the studios immediately prior to each group fitness class as well as afterward.
We ask that you bring your own mat to your group class, as mats will not be available to you. For all group fitness classes, Rady equipment will be used minimally and may not be shared.
Click HERE for a proposed breakdown of our weekly group fitness class offerings. These are subject to change.
Finally, it is important to note that we temporarily will not be offering any aquatic facility classes upon reopening.
Next week, we will send out a link to our online booking system as well as instructions on how to use it. For now, we hope that you are excited to see some of your favorite group fitness classes on our proposed schedule and look forward to you joining us for some fun and engaging workouts later this month.
