The goal of this competition is to encourage emerging and established filmmakers and students to submit a short film of their creation, addressing “The Jewish Experience.”
Competition Submission Requirements
- Emerging and Established Film Makers: Open to emerging or established Manitoba or former Manitoba directors.
- Student Film Makers: Open to all Manitoba High School or University Students between the ages of 16-24.
Content
In the cases of both categories all films entered in competition must express Jewish content:  For example, but not limited to, subjects can include Jewish life, culture, history, cuisine, politics, religion, the future of Judaism. Anything you want as long as it expresses a Jewish content.
Genre
Films can be any genre: Narrative, documentary, poetry, animation, Claymation, comedy, children’s films. You name it!
Length
Films can be from 1-25 minutes max.
Format/Submission
We are accepting the following method of delivery: Vimeo.
All submissions must be downloadable. We therefore highly recommend creating a Vimeo account and uploading your submission there, and enabling the download option. 
NOTE: Please Submit in Vimeo but not in 4K.
Fee
There is no entrance fee to submit a film. Entrants can submit as many films as they like.  Entrants are asked to fill out an entry application which can be found below or attached. Please fill out a separate application for each film submitted.
Selection/Screening
Films will be judged by a jury of film professionals and enthusiasts. Winning films will be screened at a special Manitoba Film Makers Screening Night during the Jewish International Jewish Film Festival. Finalists will be announced prior to that evening.   Cash prizes for winning films will be awarded
