Helping parents and to-be parents learn to facilitate effective practices to proactively set up a healthy framework and structure for effective family functioning, overcome resistant children, and manage multiple dynamics at home. The main goal is to help guide your journey of early parenting both for your children and family as a whole. Childcare available.

Workshop #2: Resilience, Stress and Coping & Anxiety Reducing Skills

SCHOOL AGE

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 20, 7:00 P.M. – 8:30 P.M. ADVANCE REGISTRATION required by Feb. 15

FREE FOR MEMBERS / $5 NM

Family Establishing parenting practices that focus on helping to develop resilient independent psychologically fit children. The workshop will focus on learning how to apply psychological skills to help both parents and their children navigate the variety of challenges. The main goal is to learn ways to decrease anxiety, stress, negative attitudes, and increase healthy social relationships throughout the school aged years. Childcare available.

Workshop #3: Teen Years

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 17, 7:00 P.M. – 8:30 P.M.

FREE FOR MEMBERS / $5 NM

Family Issues surrounding body image, and eating habits. Helping parents empower their teens to be more empowered in community, effective leadership. Parenting teenagers can be difficult because of the nature of their evolving friendships, attitudes, goals, and needs. The workshop will focus on ensuring both parents and teens can have a healthy relationship with food, body image, and self-confidence. Helping you facilitate specific interventions and strategies with your teenagers and family members at home to promote healthy minds and bodies. The content will focus on exercise, eating habits and body-esteem. Self-esteem and building skills to help your teenager feel empowered and confident about themselves. Childcare available.

All workshops hosted by Jay M. Greenfeld Ph.D., C.Psych. Dr. Greenfeld is a Registered Psychologist from Mind Matters Clinic with an extensive background working with children, adolescents, college students, and adults with a variety of parenting concerns.
