This can include constant headaches, neck pain, wrist, or hand pain. Let’s dig deeper into potential causes of these nagging pains and talk about different techniques that could help address the issues. This presentation will benefit, office workers, average joes, weekend warriors and anyone who experiences minor aches and pains on a daily basis.

Sunday September 18th: 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

Topic: Reducing Stress with Yoga and Mindfulness

Facilitator: Rose van der Hooft, CYT (200H+), MBSR Facilitator

Rose combines traditional yoga with Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) techniques to understand the relationship between breath, movement, and interception (inner awareness). Observing how these come together in practice can influence the Autonomic Nervous System and reduce stress for better physical and mental health. This 90-minute class offers meditation, breathing and movement practices that can affect neuroplastic and behavioral changes over time, and provide tools and strategies that allow individuals to have greater control over their responses to the challenges and struggles of life.

Sunday Sept 18th: 12:00-1:00 p.m.

Topic: Nourishing the Mind

Facilitator: Joan Marks, RD (Owner – Dietista)

This session will focus on how diet impacts mental health and wellness. General nutrition strategies with emphasis on key nutrients will be discussed.
