The Rady JCC Ken Kronson Sports Dinner is set for May 12, 2020 featuring keynote speaker, Gary Bettman!

The Sports Dinner provides the Rady JCC with the financial support to fund scholarships and programs for members of our community that wouldnt otherwise have access to these services, including financially disadvantaged families, children, youth and adults.

Jewish Athlete of the Year

The Rady Jewish Community Centre Sports Dinner Committee is now accepting nominations for the Annual Jewish Athlete of the Year Award to be presented at the 48th Annual Rady JCC Ken Kronson Sports Dinner, Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at the RBC Convention Centre.

The dinner will feature as Guest Speaker, Gary Bettman, Commissioner of the National Hockey League.

Athletes, their coaches or family members can nominate the individual.

Please provide a summary of the nominee’s accomplishments over the past 12 to 18 months, and at what level they competed at, either the high school, university, provincial, national or international level. Please include all contact information including a phone number.

Nominations can be dropped off or mailed to the attention of Sheldon Appelle c/o “Jewish Athlete of the Year Nominations Committee, Rady JCC Community Centre, 123 Doncaster Street, Winnipeg, MB R3N 2B3

Bert Knazan Award

The Bert Knazan Award is presented to a male or female Jewish teen athlete between the ages of 13-16 who has demonstrated athletic excellence, good sportsmanship, fair play and displayed consideration for others.

The Cyril Zeke Marantz Manitoba Jewish Athletes Wall of Honour at the Rady JCC is currently accepting nominations for the Wall of Honour. Applications are available at the Rady JCC or can be downloaded here: WOF Application Form. All applications will be reviewed by a selection committee.
