WHAT IS TAL?
TAL offers teens the opportunity to develop skills in becoming trained and experienced counselors and leaders through a unique course of study in preparation for future employment at the Rady JCC and in community settings
PARTICIPANTS
Teens in grades 10-12, interested in working with younger children in a community setting
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
One year program (November through June)
Eight sessions throughout the year (Sundays)
Interesting learning sessions using different learning formats such as workshops with specialists, skill development training, role playing and group projects
Topics on relevant subjects including programming, child development, communication skills, problem solving, group dynamics, resume building, First Aid and CPR
Field trips, social action and community service projects
PRACTICUMS/INTERNSHIPS
Practicums at Rady JCC Day Camps
Summer Internship during Rady JCC Summer Day Camp
Priority will be given to TAL participants who have successfully completed the program for employment opportunities at the Rady JCC

$50 Members $60 Non-members
Includes TAL sessions, curriculum materials and refreshments
