Looking ahead to better and brighter days!

September 4, 2020

Dear Rady JCC Friends,

Have you ever sat down and just stared up at the sky and asked yourself What is next, or What lies ahead?

Ever since the Rady reopened on June 15, we have been asking the same question. Each day, we believe that better and brighter days are ahead of us, we know it.

One of the bright spots is the NEW increased hours starting on Tuesday, September 8. For those members who have “Come Back Home” we hope you will enjoy the added time to spend with us and for those who are still considering making a return, we hope to see you again soon. When you decide to come back, we will be here to greet you. For your reference our new hours will be as follows:

Mondays to Thursdays  6:00 am – 9:00 pm
Fridays   6:00 am – 7:00 pm
Saturdays to Sundays  8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Reminder – We are open on Labour Day Monday from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

This past Monday, a NEW mandatory mask/face covering policy took effect campus wide. This means that when you enter the building and walk within public areas you must wear a face covering. The only exception is when working out in the fitness centre or swimming in the pool. Please ensure to wear your face coverings until you have exited the building.

Great news for lap swimmers, with the increased hours means more availability to book your time. Click here for the NEW lap swim times. Reminder you must book a lane through our online booking system.

We are aware that lots of members have missed their aquatics group classes. Well good news…Aquafit is back after Labour Day.

Mondays, 8:45 – 9:40 a.m.
Wednesdays, 8:45 – 9:40 a.m.
Fridays, 8:45 – 9:40 a.m.

In order to maintain proper physical distancing, all Aquafit classes will be limited to 15 people. Registration must be completed using our online system and opens three days in advance of the start of individual classes.

Our NEW Group Fitness Schedule will take effect on Tuesday, September 8. We are thrilled to announce that our group class offerings will increase from 25 to 32 classes per week. Click here to view the NEW schedule.

As we look forward to Fall, we know the days will become shorter, but when we wake up the next morning we know that a new day is here and that better and brighter days are ahead of us. We just have to take a moment, look at the sky, take a deep breath and just believe.

Warm regards,
