December 27, 2017

The Rady JCC is thrilled to present the 20th season of Music ‚ÄòN‚Äô Mavens ‚Äì Winnipeg’s foremost concert and speaker series.

Music ‘N’ Mavens features performers and speakers every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon from Jan. 23 ‚Äì Mar. 22, keeping you entertained and informed right through the cold winter months.

‚ÄúFor nearly two decades, Music ‘N’ Mavens has been successfully showcasing the wide variety of cultural richness that Winnipeg has to offer,‚Äù says Rady JCC Assistant Executive Director, Tamar Barr.

A wealth of homegrown and renowned musicians are scheduled throughout the season. Among them, you can attend a concert tribute to Leonard Bernstein (January 23), led by Artistic Director of the Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra, Richard Gillis, or listen to Grammy-nominated concert pianist, Nadia Shpachenko (Mar. 20).

The lectures are also a vital component ‚Äì the term ‘maven’ refers to someone who is an expert in a particular area.

Presentations this season range from discussions of Climate Change (Feb. 8) to UFOs (Mar. 6) and much more in between.

“Where else can you go in the middle of the afternoon to hear a great concert or speaker and then go for a workout in the same building,” adds concert attendee, Ruth Pearce.

Individual tickets for concerts start at $7 and are available at the door for each show.

Concert cards–which allow you to bundle multiple shows for a reduced rate – are also available starting at $35.
