Erin’s Story

Here’s our Q & A with Erin:

What inspired your interest in this area?Erin-26

I battled childhood cancer at the age of 6 and have been cancer-free for 20 years.  So I think my interest in health and nutrition spawned from that experience.

Current program in school?

Currently completing my PhD in Human Nutritional Sciences at the University of Manitoba.

What are your career aspirations?

I’d like to work in Research and Development in the food industry, creating healthy functional foods to fit people’s lifestyles.

How has your connection to Rady played a part in your career focus?

Coming to the Rady is a major de-stressor for me. My favourite classes are Group Blast, Yoga, and Zumba.  I also love the saltwater pool and steam to relax and reset.
