The Rady JCC is committed to providing an inclusive environment and quality programming for individuals with special needs.
We have a Special Needs Coordinator who provides support to members with special needs, so they can be fully involved in Rady JCC programs and services. Our goal is to enhance the social, emotional and physical development of participants through supportive programs.
Examples of these programs and services include:
- Advocacy
- Confidential needs assessment/interview
- Information and referral
- Leisure Buddy Support – Trained Leisure Buddies to provide the support necessary for individuals with special needs to access the programs, services and facilities offered by the Centre
- Social, cultural, recreational and creative arts programming
- Consultation/research into any specialized equipment or services that an individual may require
