Building on a solid foundation of Jewish values and with a strong connection to Israel, Rady JCC strives to strengthen the individual, the family, and the community within an inclusive and welcoming environment.
We welcome everyone and share the richness and traditions of Jewish culture with the community at large through the advancement of physical, intellectual, social and spiritual well-being.
Our connection to Israel is strengthened through our family and cultural programming, including:
Yom Ha’atzmaut is Israeli Independence Day. It celebrates the anniversary of the creation of Israel, on May 14, 1948 (or, according to the Jewish calendar, the 5th of Iyyar in 5708). Rady JCC hosts this festive event every spring, bringing together the community to enjoy music, dance, fireworks and family entertainment at the biggest birthday party yet.
Israel Pavilion – Shalom Square
Every August, Rady JCC puts on the Israel Pavilion as part of Winnipeg’s annual Folklorama. Visit the Israel Pavilion and learn all about Israel’s contributions to the world. Be amazed by the internationally renowned Chai Folk Ensemble. Enjoy falafel (chick pea balls), savour a glass of Israeli beer and finish the evening off with our delicious desserts.
